Fishing in Oxfordshire

This is everything we hold in Oxfordshire, drawn as boundaries rather than dropped as pins — because on a river, where the permission ends matters more than roughly where it is. Each water says what it is reported to need and when anybody last checked.

We hold ten waters here: nine river stretches and one lake.

By permission: six reported as club membership water, three as free fishing and one as club day ticket water. The three free waters are the hardest of these to establish and the most worth knowing.

Nine of the ten carry the river close season, 15 March to 15 June. The other one is reported fishable all year.

Species reported most often: chub at two, perch at two and roach at one. Reported by anglers, not surveyed.

These were last checked between 4 September 2026 and 17 September 2026.

Every line below is a report with a date on it, not permission to fish. Read the disclaimer.

These are reports, not permission. Verify locally before fishing. This site grants no permission to fish.

Below 3 waters a page like this does not publish at all. If this one looks short, it is because we have not mapped enough here yet — not because there is nothing to find.
