Maintaining your club or fishery page allows anglers to find you, your waters, costs and rules.

If anything on your waters is incorrect, you can submit corrections here without needing an account.

If you would like to administer your club or fishery and its waters, you can maintain them directly. Changes appear as you make them, and the page is marked as maintained by you.

Adding a water we do not hold

Anyone can add a new water. Draw the stretch on the map, say what permission it needs, and send it. A person reads every submission before it appears. Naming the wrong club as controlling a stretch can cause issues, so nothing about permission is published without being verified.

You do not need an account to add a water.

Why claim your water

• Ensure the information we hold is always accurate and up to date
• Ensure listed access, membership and ticket information are all accurate
• Link to your own website, and to the page where day tickets are bought
• Show your opening hours and the number to ring
• Set what kinds of fishing are allowed, what methods are not, and whether night fishing is permitted
• Say whether a close season applies, and add any rod licence notes
• Choose which river gauge the page shows
• Changes appear immediately, without waiting for review
• The page is marked as maintained by you

Claiming your page

To change a water on behalf of a club or a fishery, an account must be linked to it. Ask for that from the waters you look after:

1. Create an account.
2. Choose your club or fishery from the list.
3. Give us either a page on your own website that names you, or an email address at your own domain.
4. Send it.

All requests are reviewed. We may ask questions, and we may require additional information. Requests can take time.

What you can change yourself, once you are linked

Edits from a linked club or fishery go straight onto the page and are marked as maintained by you:

• how hard the bank is to reach, and what the bank is like
• night fishing
• what kinds of fishing are allowed, and what methods are not
• whether a close season applies
• rod licence notes
• the day ticket price, and where to buy one
• opening hours, and the number to ring
• which river gauge the page shows

What still goes through review

Some things still go to a person first:

• what permission the water needs
• who controls it
• the boundary on the map
• which species are present
• where to park
• the name and the web address
• whether the page is published at all

If something is wrong today

You do not need an account of any kind to suggest changes. Every water page has a way to report something wrong and a form to fill in what it should say. If a page about your water is wrong right now, that is the fastest way to fix it.
